Daily Mom Deals ("we," "us," "our") operates the Daily Mom Deals website at dailymom.deals and the Daily Mom Deals mobile app on Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or app, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

You can browse our deals without creating an account. We do not ask for your name, address, phone number, or payment information. The information we collect is limited to what is needed to run the service:

• Device identifier. When you first open the mobile app, we generate a random identifier and store it on your device. This identifier lets us count likes and clicks without requiring a login. It is not tied to your name, email, or any account.
• Push notification token. If you opt into deal notifications, the operating system issues a push token that we store so we can deliver notifications to your device. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
• Display name (optional). If you leave a comment, you may choose a display name. This name appears next to your comment and is visible to anyone viewing the deal.
• Comments. Text you submit in comments is stored and displayed publicly with the deal.
• Interaction events. When you tap a deal, like a deal, or open the app, we record the action so we can show accurate like counts, popularity, and improve the experience.
• Notification preferences. Your choice to receive (or not receive) notifications, and any topic subscriptions, are stored on your device and on our servers so your preferences persist across sessions.

How we use information

• To display deals, like counts, and comments.
• To deliver push notifications when you have opted in to receive them.
• To understand which deals are popular so we can curate better content.
• To detect and prevent abuse, spam, and security issues.

We do not sell your information. We do not use your information for advertising or behavioral targeting. We do not run third-party ad networks or analytics SDKs inside the app.

Affiliate links

Some links on Daily Mom Deals are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission when you make a purchase through them. This does not change the price you pay. Once you click an affiliate link, you leave our site or app and any data you provide on the destination site is governed by that site's privacy policy (for example, Amazon's privacy notice).

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only with:

• Service providers that host our servers (Fly.io) and deliver push notifications (Expo Push Service / Google Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android). These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
• Legal authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users.

Security

All data sent between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. The device identifier is stored in your device's secure storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Data retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to operate the service. To request deletion of your data — including any comments you have posted, your device record, and notification tokens — email us at subscriptions@dailymom.deals. You can also uninstall the app, which removes your locally stored identifier; your existing comments will remain visible unless you also request their deletion.

Children

Daily Mom Deals is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or under 16 in applicable jurisdictions). If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us at subscriptions@dailymom.deals and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
